Zimbabwe boasts of a rich and diverse tourist attractions which includes 5 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Sites (the Great Zimbabwe National Monument, Khami National Monuments, Matobos Hills, Victoria Falls/Mosi-ao-Tunya/Smoke that thunders, and Mana Pools); pristine wildlife sanctuaries, consisting of eleven Wild National Parks and many private conservancies, each of which offers vastly contrasting and fulfilling wilderness experiences; and a well preserved flora and fauna.
Zimbabwe offers visitors a unique and diverse cultural experience characterized by the warm and hospitable people, story telling stone and wood carvings, traditional dances and songs, literature and art and mouth-watering cuisines. Of interest to note is that Zimbabwe is the largest base of stone art in the Southern hemisphere and the only country in the world to be named after an ancient cultural site.
